Another separated-image for any interested people! This one’s of a friend’s character I drew all comic-y for a wallpaper a while back. From the top:

  • The final cartoony image, plus a canvas filter.
  • The quick sketch it started with.
  • The colors I drew under that sketch
  • The hard lines I drew on top to give a cartoony edge and contrast (Accidentally pressed the little fire detail into this layer)

Please do not take the parts of this image without my permission!

So the general idea behind this post is to take a picture I’ve drawn (top), and then separate each layer below it, for the curious people to see!
Viewers can click through each part, and see how I did it, and see the parts that came together. Hopefully this is kinda cool for someone!

If you would like to do the same, make sure you tag it with #Show Me The Layers, so we can all find these in the tumblr search!

EMERGENCY COMMISSIONS ARE OPEN

I’m opening emergency commissions because I suddenly hit a rough patch and could really use the money! >_< Please email me at rosella@bk.ru (preferable) or lorna.ktus@gmail.com if you’re interested!

Warning: I’ll require upfront payment but I’ll make sure to send you wips and to mind all your corrections if you decide to commission me! Thank you!

*as always, the exact price of the commission will depend on the amount of details of the drawing and other specifics.

Reblogging this because this is one of my favorite artists that I follow around Tumblr/DA. If you’d like a picture done by a fantastic artist, now is a fantastic chance.

This is way too fun to mess with for how stupid it is. Hahaha

The top image is the original. The bottom image is the cutout I’ve been using. Feel free to waste some time of your own. “!”

Separated Layers project!
On top, you see my full image of White Of The Draic Kin. Below:

  • The final background
  • The inset shelves
  • The desk and the light pillars
  • The Dark Man floating in the background
  • All the lights and their glows. (look at this one over a black background!)
  • White Of The Draic Kin (I originally drew her as her own picture, and pasted her into this one. I lost that image on my old laptop, so here’s a cutout of another version.)

So the general idea behind this post is to take a picture I’ve drawn (top), and then separate into 5 to 10 other layers (if I can) for the curious people to see each part, and look at how it all came together.

  • Here we have the final image,
  • the lineart,
  • the basic color layer,
  • the lighting layer (with a bit of shading I accidentally set there later!),
  • the shading layer,
  • the Layer Of Random And Extra Details. (I didn’t have a version separated with a background for this)

Please do not take the parts of this image without my permission!

So, I got bored.

Erased a bunch of the faces from some lineart pictures, and did this instead. Kinda funny. Kinda creepy, too… but mostly funny!
